Vietnam’s Da Nang province has gone back into lockdown after Covid-19 resurfaced two days ago. Minister of Agriculture Nguyen Xuan Cuong has urged the agriculture sector to boost production to ensure food security. “We don’t have to worry about demand because the pandemic is raging across the globe, and many countries in the region are facing natural disasters that affect food production,” he said. The Minister said the priority is for the production of staple food such as pork, poultry and rice.
