Pakistan poultry integrators cut production

July 31, 2020

by Zahrah Imtiaz – Larger poultry integrators in Pakistan have started reducing their placements in a bid to control overproduction in the country. Sabirs’ Poultry, Chairman, Dr F M Sabir, told Asian Agribiz that they have reduced breeder DOC production by 5-6%. He added that GP farms too had decreased production over the last two months. “They are going to be importing less and there will be less placements,” said Dr Sabir. These changes have become imperative as demand suffered as a result of the pandemic. “We hope this will rebalance the market in 2021,”added Dr Sabir.
