The Bangladesh government has launched two public digital platforms to market sacrificial animals for Eid-ul-Adha. Under pandemic conditions, the government is encouraging consumers to switch to online platforms. These platforms called ‘online digital cattle hats’ are run in association with the ICT division, Access to Information Program, Dhaka North City Corporation and e-Commerce Association Bangladesh (e-CAB). The booking and sale of sacrificial animals is facilitated via other social media sites. Officials have ensured that the meat is delivered to customers one or two days prior to Eid.
