Online sales of RTC, RTE seafood spike in Indonesia

by Meliyana – Online sales of RTC and RTE seafood in Indonesia peaked during the Covid-19 lockdown, according to Budhi Wibowo, Chairman of the Indonesian Seafood Products Processing and Marketing Association. The association’s members have started marketing RTC and RTE seafood, mainly shrimp-based ones such as shrimp tempura and dim sum. They will produce more variants such as flavored fish fillet. Mr Wibowo told Asian Agribiz: “According to a market research, the growth of global RTC and RTE food sector is 10% every year. Based on this, we encourage our members to create more RTC and RTE seafood.”
