Vietnam expects pangasius export to recover in Q3

July 14, 2020

Vietnam’s pangasius exports in H1 fell sharply due to the Covid-19 pandemic, said Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (Vasep). As of mid-June this year, export to the top 10 largest markets has decreased by 15-30% compared to the same period last year, except for Singapore and England. Exporters expect demand to rise again in Q3, with exports resuming first to China and the US. Meanwhile, farmers in the Mekong Delta provinces are facing losses, with oversized fish and no buyers.
