by Chakrit Ridmontri – Chicken exports from Thailand in the second half of the year will be increasing faster than in the first half due to rising demand from Japan and China, according to Kukrit Areepakorn, Manager of the Thai Broiler Processing Exporters Association. He told Asian Agribiz that orders from Japan jumped during the height of Covid-19 from January to April and will continue to rise. At the same time, exports to China are increasing and is expected to reach 100,000 tonnes by the end of the year. “We expect Thai chicken exports throughout the year to reach 908,000 tonnes as planned,” he told Asian-Agribiz.
