Chiang Mai-based Let’s Plant Meat start-up has launched its first plant-based burger product across major supermarket chains in Thailand. These include 80 locations of Gourmet Market, Rim Ping, MaxValue, Jagota Gourmet and Tesco Lotus. The startup said its products – which retail for half the price (USD 2.3/patty) of plant-based meat alternatives imported from US will help make sustainable protein choices more accessible to Thai consumers. Made from non-GMO soy protein, rice protein, coconut oil, rice bran oil and beetroot extract, each vegan cholesterol-free patty contains 15g of protein.
