The Covid-19 pandemic is not hampering Indonesia’s control of ASF in North Sumatera, East Nusa Tenggara and Bali, said the Agriculture Ministry. Animal Health Director, Fadjar Sumping Tjatur Rasa said: “Since ASF was reported in China in 2018, we have consistently created awareness about the disease to provinces, regencies and cities through letters, training and simulations.” While controlling ASF, the ministry has coordinated preventive measures for regions at high risk of contracting ASF, including North Sulawesi, Papua, Central Java, West Sumatera, South Sulawesi and Kalimantan.
