by Zahrah Imtiaz – The Nepal poultry sector is picking up after a rough three months but chick supply is limiting production. Om Shree Pashupati Breeders, Director, Brajen Ksh told Asian Agribiz that whilst meat and egg prices were rising, they could not ramp up production. The Industry is facing shortage of imported PS and GP chicks as commercial flights into Nepal are restricted. “The two GP operators in Nepal have only been able to supply 100,000 broiler PS/month though we require 200,000/month,” he said. Many farms are operating at 50% pre-Covid 19 capacity.
