Indonesian tech startup SMARTernak aims to help local cattle farmers manage their animals more efficiently with precision farming technology. CEO Andri Yadi said the IoT-based technology can track activities, production & reproduction parameters, and health & welfare status of cattle, as well as the environmental impact in real-time. The device pinned on a cow’s neck, periodically reads and sends data to the cloud. Farmers can read the analysis on their smartphones. “This will make farmers’ lives easier and their cattle healthier and more productive,” he said.
