by Zahrah Imtiaz – Sri Lanka’s Chutiduwa Group which specializes in a range of exotic meats, has launched duck and turkey meat sausages. Chutiduwa Group Director, Shanila Hettiarachchi told Asian Agribiz that demand for alternative meat is growing but preparation limited consumption. The company has been selling locally bred duck and turkey meat for some time but as they were sold whole, sales were limited to the holiday season. “In RTE form, customers can still taste the meat and not have to worry about cooking a whole bird. It is easier to prepare,” she added.
