by Zahrah Imtiaz – Sri Lanka pork consumers can now access hygienic, processed pork meat with the Chutiduwa Group’s new online retail store. Initially launched to overcome sales restrictions from the Covid-19 pandemic, the store is to be a long-term feature of the company. “We have seen our customer base diversify and grow through the online store,” said Chutiduwa Group, Director, Shanila Hettiarachchi to Asian Agribiz. This has helped them establish their own brand among customers- a feature not possible with institutional sales. Direct sales have also allowed greater customization of the product for the consumer.
