CPF invests in US pork producer

Canadian pork producer Hylife, a joint-venture between Thailand’s CPF and Japan’s Itocho Corp, has acquired Provista and Prime Pork. The company has acquired majority of Provista’s hog facilities in Canada and 75% of Prime Pork’s stocks operating in the US. This will increase Hylife’s capacity to 3.2 millions hogs / year. Before the investment the company raised 1.9 million hogs and slaughtered 1.6 million hogs.”The investment will strengthen our supply chain in North America and facilitate our growth in the future,” said CEO Grant Lazaruk.
