DNA ships corn to layer farmers in Blitar

May 21, 2020

by Arief Fachrudin – Datu Nusra Agribisnis (DNA) recently shipped 10 containers of dried peeled corn (around 220 tons) from Muna, Southeast Sulawesi to layer farmers in Blitar, East Java. The corn was priced at USD 0.24/kg. “This shipment will continue until June because corn farmers we foster there are estimated to harvest up to 3500 tons. The destination is the same, to East Java, and some to layer farmers in Bali,” President Director Dean Novel told Asian Agribiz. Mr Novel is currently lobbying the Agriculture Ministry to subsidize transportation costs of corn to help farmers achieve better selling price.
