Corn price declines on low demand

May 15, 2020

Corn prices at farmer level in Indonesia have decreased to USD 0.19-0.20/kg, lower than the government’s reference price of USD 0.25 (moisture content at 17%). Chairman of Indonesia’s Corn Farmers Association, Sholahuddin said: “The declining price is mainly due to weak demand from the feed milling industry. Poultry farmers also reduced their production following the poor price of chicken and eggs.”
