Indonesia tries to ensure fluent food supply despite health crisis

Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo asked has his ministers to maintain fluent food supply amid the Covid-19 pandemic. “We acknowledge the FAO’s warning that the pandemic can provoke global food shortages,” he said. The Home Affairs Ministry was told to remind provincial heads to maintain the supply of basic commodities. They also must create predictions on the supply so that the central government can ensure there will be no scarcity and prices remain affordable.
