Life3 Biotech backed by Singapore Food Agency, will produce Veego, a plant-based ingredient made from a blend of legumes, fungi, grains and other whole foods. Founder Ricky Lin said the ingredients were selected for high protein and fiber while being low in fats. “It doesn’t contain artificial flavoring, color or preservatives,” he said. A “unique production machinery” which maintains a consistent texture quality will be used for manufacturing. A semi-automated line is producing 1000 tons annually but this will be scaled up in Q4 of 2020 he added.
