Functional meat from native chicken developed in Thailand

PS Nutrition, a Bangkok-based phytogenic feed additive supplier, is collaborating with Suranaree University of Technology in developing functional meat with health benefits from a strain of native chicken in Thailand.  To enhance functional properties of the meat, the birds are fed with a range of plant extracts from Thailand, France and Spain. “This project aims to enhance the benefits of chicken meat through innovation in phytogenic feed additives developed from local and imported herbs,” Woraphong Wonganusorn, Chairman of PS Nutrition, told Asian Agribiz.
