Indonesian seafood producers see potential in domestic market

Chairman of the Indonesian Seafood Products Processing and Marketing Association, Budhi Wibowo said demand for peeled and frozen shrimp with IQF technology is growing in Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali. “Seeing the good market response, our members have diversified their shrimp products to increase domestic consumption,” he told Asian Agribiz. The association’s members have started marketing their RTC and RTE seafood such as shrimp tempura and dim sum, through e-commerce and social media.
