Vietnamese food processing enterprises are seeing sharp growth because of Covid-19. According to the Ho Chi Minh City Food Association (HFA), in the first two months of 2020, processed food production grew by 20% over the same period in 2019. Demand for food with long shelf-life such as dim sum, spring-roll, canned food spiked. Enterprises producing instant noodles saw quantity orders for both domestic and export markets grow by 50%. The HFA expects the sector’s growth rate to increase by 10% in 2020.
