Singapore leads aquatech by unveiling smart barramundi farms

Singapore has unveiled its first-ever smart floating fish farm equipped with a USD 714,000 integrated artificial intelligence and video analytics system to detect fish health and growth rates. Located off Pasir Ris Coast, the 3000/sqm offshore facility houses 10 tanks, each capable of holding 10 tons of fish.The tanks work on a closed loop system recycling its water without any waste release into the ocean. 50% of its operations also rely on solar power while it is expected to produce up to 350 tons of fish by 2021.
