Early drought  pushes dairy farmers to store more hay

February 14, 2020

Dairy farmers in Thailand’s central province of Nakornprathom are being forced to spend more to store dry hay to cope with the drought, which is expected early and to last longer. In the next 3-4 months, they will have to feed cows with dry hay  instead of the fresh grass. Sureerat Sirisampun, a dairy farmer in the province, said fresh grass supplies are in short supply due to insufficient water.
