ASF recurs in smallholder farms in Vietnam

Three districts in Nghe An province have announced ASF outbreaks that killed 22 pigs. Ky Son, one of the three localities was earlier declared ASF-free. According to the provincial Sub-Department of Animal Health, the disease outbreaks were caused by the presence of pathogens in the environment, combined with adverse weather changes. It also said that during the recent holiday, people slaughtered pigs at home and this aided the spread of pathogens. Click here to view our ASF updates.
