Philippines lifts ban on pork from the Czech Republic

The Philippines has lifted its import ban on pig and pork products from the Czech Republic after that country reported it is free of the ASF virus. In the order lifting the ban, the Philippine Department of Agriculture (DA) noted that the risk of contamination from Czech imports is “negligible.” According to the Czech Republic’s report to the World Organization for Animal Health, ASF events affecting wild boars within its borders are now closed and resolved.
