Downtrend in Vietnam’s feed demand expected in 2020

Vietnam’s demand for feed in 2020 is expected to remain low due to decreased consumption, according to the latest report by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). The report reveals that feed wheat import in 2020 will remain¬†flat at 3.5 mt, while corn import is estimated at 10 mt, a slight decrease compared to 10.5 mt in 2019. In an earlier report on pork production, USDA estimated that Vietnam’s pork production in 2020 will contract by 6% while per capita consumption of pork, beef and poultry will be down 2% over 2019.¬†Click here to view our ASF updates.
