A&W Malaysia allocates USD 27 million to double outlets by 2025

A&W Malaysia has allocated USD 27 million in capex to expand its nationwide footprint, increasing its outlets from 49 to 124 by 2025. It has entered into a development agreement with A Great American Brand International to strengthen the brand and its operations. CEO George Ang said, “We aim to clinch USD 27 million in sales this year and I believe this is achievable since we switched from serving frozen chicken to fresh chicken. Although there’s a 5% cost increase, we won’t pass it on to our customers.”
