AgriProtein opens insect r&d center in Singapore

Insect technology company AgriProtein has opened its global hub in Science Park II, Singapore which includes a r&d center and a project management office. The research facility will lead the company’s global research into anti-microbial peptides, chitin, and chitin derived products in addition to serving as its global analytical chemistry reference lab. The Singapore team will also conduct larvae feed trials using local organic waste streams available in the Asia region. “The global hub in Singapore will help us drive further expansion in the region and support our business globally,” said CEO Jason Drew.
