December 19, 2019

Vietnam and the Philippines will both see a reduction in total feed demand in 2020. The pig industry in the two countries corner the bulk of their feed production. But with both battling ASF, Rabobank sees their pig herd shrinking. Thus, total feed demand in Vietnam could fall by 7.9% this year, while the Philippines will see an 8.4% decline. Rabobank forecasts the total feed demand for both Vietnam and the Philippines to go down by 2.1% and 4.3% in 2020.
