India wants more from Indonesia with carabeef

December 4, 2019

Indian carabeef is enjoying a good market in Indonesia. Suhandri, Secretary General of the Indonesian Meat Importers Association, estimates carabeef imports will reach around 80,000 tons by end this year. He believes next year India will ask for a higher import allocation. “This is related to our crude palm oil export where India is a key importer. If we push more on our CPO, India will surely want a larger carabeef export quota. My prediction is they will ask for at least around 150,000 tons,” he told Asian Agribiz.
