by Rajeswari Ramanee – Fraser & Neave Holdings Berhard (F&N) plans to use 3000-ha of a 4453-ha tract in Perlis to plant corn. CEO Lim Yew Ho said locally-grown corn silage to sustain the planned dairy farm was always in the cards. “We are looking at producing our first liter of fresh milk in the next 18 months, thus we expect to plant our first corn crop in mid 2021,” he told Asian Agribiz. F&N plans to sell excess corn for feed to the local livestock industry.
