Indonesia’s Perwiratama Group’s new chicken slaughterhouse has been doing well with supply to QSR chains. Located in West Java, the 2000 birds/hour slaughterhouse is equipped with a 200-ton cold storage facility, two blast freezers with a combined capacity of 5 tons per 8 hours, and ice flake machine. “The slaughterhouse, which cost around USD 1.4 million, produces whole carcass, portioned cuts, boneless cuts, and marinated cuts such as satay, steaks and strips. These are mainly supplied to D’Colonel Fried Chicken outlets,” Cecep Wahyudin, President Director told Asian Agribiz.
