In early October, meat prices in Vietnam increased sharply and the trend is expected to continue to the end of the year. This is on fears of a shortage of pork, especially during Tet. According to the Department of Agricultural Product Processing and Market Development, ASF caused 5.2 million pigs to be culled, equivalent to 12% of the country’s production.
