Jala, Indonesian shrimp technology startup has grown from fewer than 200 subscribers, in 2018 to 1000. By the end of 2018, the company had expanded into Thailand and Vietnam, and it is now exploring potential in Ecuador for its water quality sensor device. Jala will also consider moving into India. “We’ve also received orders from Honduras and Brazil. We have been able to service international orders since the start of this year,” Chairman Aryo Wiryawan told Asian Agribiz. Jala’s devices are now being mass produced in China by a British contract manufacturer.
