Thai park rangers on high alert for ASF

Rangers are closely monitoring wild boars and pigs at national parks and wildlife sanctuaries to prevent outbreaks of African swine fever. Jongkhlai Woraphongsathorn, Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Deputy Director General, said he met with officials from human and animal health agencies to discuss and develop epidemic surveillance system to minimize health risks among people, animals and wildlife. Thailand has been following up on the spread of ASF in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
