Philippines seizes meat shipment from China

The Philippine Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) and the Bureau of Customs have seized an illegal shipment of pork and pork derived products that arrived at the Subic Port in Central Luzon last week. Valued at around USD 11,600, the shipment came from Guangzhou, China and was consigned to a trading company in Metro Manila. BAI will destroy the meat according to regulations at the expense of the consignee.
