Malaysian bak kwa brand gets facelift as a trendy snack

Bak-Off, is the brand that Oloiya is using to push their multi-flavored bak kwa to a younger generation. Bak kwa is going trendy as brothers Raymond and Peter Khue want to revolutionize the meat snack industry in Malaysia. “As markets and consumers are changing, we too need to innovate and be relevant,” Oloiya’s Executive Director Raymond Khue told Asian Agribiz. Bak-off will soon be available in mid to high range supermarket’s in the non-halal section with flavors such as Tom Yum, Nasi Lemak and Chilli Sambal among others.
