ASF marks new point in Mekong Delta

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hau Giang province in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam, has reported a second outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) in the area. Both infected farms are small scale household farms. The total number of detected and culled pigs is 68. The provinces in Mekong have instructed the competent authorities to set up round-the-clock inspection points, preparing sanitation chemicals, disinfection, and closely monitor slaughtering activities in the area to prevent the spread of the epidemic.
