Asian Agribiz met up with Shiok Meats CEO and co-founder, Sandhya Sriram who will be setting up a lab at Innovate 360, Singapore’s first food incubator to create “clean meat” soon. The company is set to create lab grown shrimp meat which will be tested out in phases in the coming year. A successful clean meat product adhering to Singapore’s regulations on food safety will then be transformed into shrimp dumplings to be mass produced for consumption. The project is also supported by Enterprise Singapore and SG Innovate among others.
