China continued to account for the largest share of 32% of the total import value of animal feed and raw materials from Vietnam from January-October. The second largest importer was Cambodia, accounting for 12.91%, yielding USD 77.71 million. These two markets are geographically close to Vietnam, which creates an advantage for transportation of goods. Other main markets for Vietnam’s animal feed are India, Taiwan and Malaysia. Vietnam has spent USD 3.2 billion for raw material imports in the same period, an increase of 18.2%, but also exported USD 601.69 million (accounting for 0.3% of total export turnover of the whole country), an increase of 18% over the same period in 2017.
