Broiler contract farms across Thailand are required to comply with international human rights standards for those who work in its poultry’s supply chain. This comes as the company forges ahead with plans to implement the Good Labor Practices – Poultry Thailand (GLP) principle. Parisotat Punnabhum, CPF’s Executive Vice President of Human Resources, said the audit team trained by the Labor Standard Development Bureau started working with contract farmers to put in practice the GLP standard recently included in the Agricultural Standard for Good Agriculture Practices for broiler farms (GAP) certified by the Department of Livestock Development. The certified farms will set a new standard in labor management as well as traceability for poultry business, he said.
