Indonesia to ensure stable price of chicken, eggs

Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture met with poultry producers and related associations recently in Bali to discuss the supply and price of chicken meat and eggs. At the meeting, I Ketut Diarmita, Director General of Livestock and Animal Health, said there will be no price increase of DOC during the festive period. In addition, poultry producers have agreed to sell chicken and eggs according to the reference price set by the government. According to the reference, the price of live birds and eggs at farm level must be at USD 1.29/kg. Meanwhile, at consumer level, the price of chicken carcass and eggs must be at USD 2.29 and USD 1.57, respectively.
