Indonesia’s Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Affairs has signed a memorandum of understanding with Scotland’s University of Stirling. Experts from the university’s Institute of Aquaculture hopes to tackle major challenges within the Indonesian aquaculture industry as part of a collaboration to research a number of areas, including sustainable aqua feed, health management, environmental protection and genetic improvement. “The prospect of supporting the world’s second largest aquaculture producer in tackling these issues and building capacity is exciting. We are delighted to be able to bring innovative solutions towards a sustainable intensification of aquaculture,” said Herve Migaud, Acting Institute of Aquaculture Director.
